This is the official Blog for Riverside School's D.T. Department. Every week the children have to update the blog with photographs of completed work along with a write up of achievments. All the work presented in this blog is by the children. In doing so it allows cross curricular links with ICT and Literacy.

Michaels DT blog
This week in dt we had to carry on with our stable, strong airraid shelter. Firstly i laid a green rough turf which we used for the grass outside. Then i made the furniture out of scrap wood. I sawed the wood with a power tool then hot glue gunned it toghether. Then i put the cool, finished furniture in the shelter and started doing the electrical stuff. the electrical stuff is cool but dangerous cause anything can happen. we had to make a light for inside so we made the light then the lesson finished. it was really good fun!!!!!!

Wow Michael that sound really brilliant I like how you said that the furniture was cool. I would like to know how you made the light go through into the anderson shelter.
